I stood before you, your eyes were closed as you laid still. I reached out to you, my grasp was met with an icy chill. I knew this would be the last time that we would meet. Even though you spoke no words, I felt you there with me. The candle flickered with a lambent grace. My hand in yours for a final embrace. I cast my mind back to the glory days. I whispered goodbye and gently kissed your face. Though it was devoid of all emotion. I felt your loving care within that moment. For years you watched over me, and now you will forever live on in my memories dear friend, dear brother. The candle flickered with a lambent grace. My hand in yours for a final embrace. I cast my mind back to the glory days. I whispered goodbye and gently kissed your face. Rest In Peace.

Upon the shoulders of men I lay, as my final voyage commences. Down the aisle I slowly sway, presenting myself to the masses. Bestowed with words of praise that honour my greatest achievements. Delving into sacred memories and reminiscing my finest moments. Farewell my friends, I enter the unknown. Once I leave I shall never return to this congregation. Well wishes and goodbyes met with a bittersweet ovation. I walk into the unknown, none know what lies ahead. This quest I face alone, on an uncharted path I tread. Farewell my friends, I enter the unknown. As I burst into flames I ascend to the heavenly sky. None shall forget my name and the legacy I leave behind. I enter the celestial gates, my journey has met its end. In my solitude I shall wait until we meet again my friends.

Moonlight on a tombstone, illuminating a name. Shining down from the heavens onto a hallowed grave. This sanctuary of eternal sleep. Moonlight on a tombstone, illuminating a date. A fateful day when a body and soul would separate. This cemetery of everlasting dream. I walk through the veil of night to find answers in moonlight. I sit before the tombstone, reminiscing silently, but then I ask the question ‘Why were you taken from me?’ ‘Why were you taken?’ ‘Why were you taken from me?’ ‘Why?’

Alone since that April day. Alone I must find my way. Alone I walk to where you lay. One day I’ll be here to stay too. Now I recall, I recollect our past glory. So I relive and I respect those memories. I cannot lie, I must admit I live in pain, but time moves on and though you’re gone, there’s still much to gain. Looking back on ageing innocent times. Precious visions fading in a golden light. Forever etched into my mind are the days that i’ll never leave behind. I wont forget, I don't regret our history. Remembrance always quells my misery. When I feel fear I’ll visit here and sit by your side. I know you’re gone and time’s moved on, but in you I confide. This is the way that it must be, no matter how much I plea. I know you’re watching over me. One day we will both be free.

The sky is a canvas painted grey, a bleak outlook on life. Under this cloud of shame you stand. Bring the winds of change before the storm. Still you await the rain. The torrent of emotions will run. Still you await the rain. To drain away your life once more. The sky is a canvas painted grey, the clouds begin to break away. The landscape saturates into vast hues and vibrant lights. Still you await the rain. The torrent of emotions will run. Still you await the rain. To drain away your life once more. Now you hear the call as the rain begins to fall. You craved this blackened sky to wash away the sickening stain of colour. The sky is a canvas painted grey, the clouds begin to form again. They shroud you from the light of day, unleashing their sorrows unto you. Now you embrace the rain. The torrent of emotions run. Now you embrace the rain and forever live your life in grey.

We are cast into this water as the journey begins. Swept away by the current on a life-long descent. Unaware of what lies ahead, we drift away. Unaware of what lies ahead, we drift away. Through the blackened woods and across the glorious plains. Around the colossal stones that define the way. Unaware of what lies beyond, we drift away. Unaware of what lies beyond, we drift away. Come rapids, come waterfall, come what may. We will rise and we will float until the end of our days. Come high-water, come low, come what may. We will rise and we will float until the end of our days. Submerged into the depths, unable to take a breath. The light is fading fast, sinking towards your death. When you are pulled beneath by the current, hold your breath and aim for the surface. From the source to the sea lies this grand winding stream. Into which many lives seep, raising the levels once more. Unaware of what lies ahead, we drift away. Unaware of what lies ahead, we drift away. At the scene where two rivers meet, they weave passionately. They join together at last; cascading. Unaware of what lies beyond, we drift away. Unaware of what lies beyond, we drift away. Come rapids, come waterfall, come what may. We will rise and we will float until the end of our days. Come high-water, come low, come what may. We will rise and we will float until the end of our days. We pass through the mouth of death and congregate in the ocean’s abyss. Whatever course your river takes, the destination is the same.
